  • Background: The impact of hypertension develops from year to year and causes many complications. Hypertension is a major risk factor for heart disease, cerebral (brain), renal (kidney), and vascular (blood vessels). The patient's non-compliance with treatment is a serious problem and often occurs in patients with chronic diseases, including hypertensive patients. Methods: this study use a correlational research design. The population in this study were patients with hypertension in the Puskesmas Dampit Malang Regency as many as 287 respondents, using incidental samples. Data collection technique use were questionnaires and observations. The data analysis method used is the Spearman Rank test using SPSS 16 with a significance of p <0.05 Results : The results of analysis on statistical tests show that there was a relationship between family support and adherence to treatment for hypertensive patients at the Puskesmas Dampit with a significance value of p = 0.04 (p value≥0.05) Conclusion: The better family support, the better treatment compliance for patients with hypertension at Puskesmas Dampit. So the results in getting a relationship between family support and compliance with treatment for hypertensive patients at the Puskesmas Dampit.
