Daftar Isi:
- This study discusses the reasons why NATO runs the Pivot to Asia strategy using international regime theory in the perspective of regime transformation by Stephen Haggard and Beth Simmon. Through the theory of regime transformation, the author will explain two changes in NATO which led to him running a Pivot to Asia strategy. The results of this study indicate that NATO is running the Pivot to Asia strategy because NATO is undergoing transformation in terms of the scope of its impact on organizational change. The transformation of the scope in NATO was due to changes in international security issues that encouraged NATO to review a series of strategic concepts from 1991-2010. The results of the review of the strategic concept mention the roles, tasks and new policies of NATO that directed it to pivot to Asia. NATO made changes in its organizational form to adjust its new roles, duties, and policies to run the Pivot to Asia strategy.
