  • This study intends to know how far the of understanding level of PT. Telkom employees to the function of public relations at PT. Telkom Malang. Because on the result of survey about employees understanding to public relations is felp less and it’s often happen misunderstanding to public relations function in PT. Telkom Malang. Social relations is a particular field in communication, which concept and function always develop time after time. The other functions of social relations are: to support management activity in achieving organization purpose, to establish good relation between organization with intern and ekstern public, to create 2 ways communications. The basis of this study is survey, the research methodology of this study is quantitative research with etic perspective. The data analysis which is used by the researcher is descriptive statistic, which is used for analysing the data by describing the data which is collected without making general conclusion. From the result of observation for a while sound that average of respondens answer are agree. So weekend conclude that employees understanding to public relations in PT. Telkom Malang gotten analysis that the average answer is agree for each questions. So that employees understanding to aspect kognitif is about 4,0 and included good category. Employees understanding to aspect afektif is about 4,3 and included very good category. Average in level employees understanding to aspect konatif is about 3,4 be included good category. From calculation on the can result level whole indicator is about 3,6 to position at interval the between 3,4 – 4,2 and included good category
