  • This study discusses the relationship of social support with selfacceptance in children with low academic achievement. With low academic achievement children tend to feel excluded and have low self-acceptance. From several forming factors that influence selfacceptance such as the absence of environmental barriers, pleasant attitudes of community members, and good childhood parenting, according to the researchers have a relationship with social support. The purpose of this study was to find out how the relationship of social support to self-acceptance in children with low academic achievement. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling on 118 students of SD Muhammadiyah 04 Batu who had low academic achievement. The measuring instrument used is a social support scale questionnaire that has a correlation validity of 0.316 - 0.810, with reliability of 0.872. While the self-acceptance scale has a correlation 2 validity of 0.423 - 0.710, with reliability of 0.743. This study shows that there is a relationship between social support and self-acceptance in children with low academic achievement as indicated by the acquisition of a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.348 with a significance value of 0.000 (p, 0.05) which means there is a significant correlation between the two variables.
