- Potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.) is one of the most important horticultural plants, which brings a lot of money to farmers. The average need for potato seeds per year is 108 thousand tons for potato cultivation area of 72,000 hectares, while the availability of nationally certified potato seeds currently only reaches 15 percent of the seed requirement per year. The planting media used for potato seed production is sterile planting media (humus, cocopit, husk charcoal) and addition of nutrient intake by adding bokashi fertilizer. Therefore, bokashi fertilizer is expected to be able to support agricultural businesses and can overcome the scarcity and high cost of artificial fertilizers that occur at this time. In this study a randomized block design (RBD) was used with non-factorial treatment, with 6 levels of treatment repeated 4 times. This research was conducted in Jurangkuali Hamlet, Sumber Brantas Village, Bumiaji Subdistrict, Batu City. The study was conducted from August 2018 - October 2018. The results of this study indicate that media lacking husk charcoal + cocopeat + bokashi beef goat + bokashi is the best medium can be used for the production of G1 potato tuber seeds.
