  • The need for giant freshwater prawns is increasing, At this moment only 40% of the demand for new prawns is fulfilled. This happens because of the low mortality rate of the juveniles when transported to the growing ponds of giant freshwater prawns. The distance between the hatchery to the growing ponds of giant freshwater prawns is far enough to take a long time. For this reason, there is a need for transportation technology that is able to increase the survival rate of juveniles as long as they are transported to the growing ponds of giant freshwater prawns. This research was conducted on 15-16 July 2018 which took place at Prigi Brackish Aquaculture Installation Trenggalek regency and transported for 18 hours to Malang City. The purpose of this study was to determine the best treatment in the administration of Zeolite, Activated Carbon and Clove Oil on survival rate of the juvenile (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) and Quality of water transportation media. The research method used is the experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 different treatments on Z (Zeolite 20 gr / l), KA (Active Carbon 10gr / l), MC (Clove Oil 0.015ml / l), K (Without Additives), each is done with 3 repetitions. Furthermore, the data was analyzed using ANOVA and BNJ test. The results of this study indicate that the addition of Zeolite, Activated Carbon and Clove Oil on closed system transportation of the juvenile (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) gives a real difference to the survival rate of giant freshwater prawn juvenile after being transported. The best survival rate occurred in treatment Z with 72,6. This study concludes that the addition of Zeolite, Activated Carbon and Clove Oil is very effective in increasing the survival rate and quality of water in the transportation of juvenile giant freshwater prawn, treatment Z (Zeolite) is the best.
