- University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Founded in 1964 in the Muhammadiyah organization and is the largest Muhammadiyah college in East Java and the leading PTS in Indonesia. This research was conducted with the aim of describing and analyzing the Achievement Motivation of Orphan Scholarship Recipients, Motivation for achievement at the university, including: High motivation in organization, and Motivation to work hard, the results of this study are expected to help the institution in determining policies, for the community to add insight and discourse in accessing education for orphan students. This study used a descriptive design, qualitative research location at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang with the object of achievement motivation research orphaned recipient students, the subject and this research were taken from student and student staff, with techniques of data collection, observation, interviews and documentation. The theory used is the MC Clleand theory. About high achievement motivation (N-ach). Includes moderate risks, fast feedback achievements, preoccupation with assignments. The results of the study are 1). Students who receive orphaned scholarships have high achievement motivation in learning, working and organizing. 2). Constraints faced by financial limitations to meet basic needs, lack of implementation of time, constraints in understanding lecture material.
