  • The research was conducted from September to October 2018 at the Fisheries Laboratory of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, East Java. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different density of stocking fish cultivated with recirculation systems can affect the rate of growth and survival of Manfish (Pterophyllum scalare) fish seeds and to determine the optimum fish stocking density in aquaculture recirculation systems that can affect the rate of growth and survival Manfish fish seed (Pterophyllum scalare). The method used in this research is the experimental method. In this study using 4 treatments (P1 (3 tails / l with 25 liters of water is 75 tails / container), P2 (6 tails / l with 25 liters of water is 150 tails / container), P3 (9 tails / l with 25 liters water which is 225 tails / container), and P4 (12 tails / l with 25 liters of water ie 300 tails / container)), each of which was repeated 3 times repetitively randomized in one experimental container, the aquarium. The main parameters observed in this study were the results of measurement of growth in the form of SGR (Significance Growth Rate), daily length growth rate and survival in the form of SR (Survival Rate) of Manfish fish, while the observed supporting parameters were observations of water quality cultivation media including temperature , pH, DO and ammoniac. The data analysis technique in this study is to use ANOVA (analysis of variance) and proceed with the Smallest Significant Difference Test on parameters that get a real difference. The results showed that the best SGR (Significance Growth Rate) value was the best for P1 treatment with 3 tail / L treatment with 25 liters of water, 75 heads / container, with an average SGR of 5.12%. Furthermore, the results of ANOVA and BNT test also showed that treatment P1 was the best treatment compared to other treatments. The best long growth rate is P1 with treatment of 3 fish / L with 25 liters of water which is 75 heads / container, with a long growth rate of 1.40%. Furthermore, the results of ANOVA and BNT test also showed that treatment P1 was the best treatment compared to other treatments. The largest survival rate was in treatment P1 with the treatment of 3 fish / L with 25 liters of water which is 75 heads / container, with a mean survival rate of 86.22%. N Next results of ANOVA and BNT test also shows that treatment P1 is the best treatment compared to other treatments. so that it can be concluded that the treatment of P1 with the treatment of 3 fish / L with 25 liters of water which is 75 heads / container is the best treatment to increase SGR, Growth Length and SR. This is because the stocking densities applied are suitable for fish life. This research is expected to be able to provide additional knowledge and information to the general public or Manfish fish entrepreneurs in order to increase the production of Manfish fish which have quality, quantity, community and can compete in the domestic and international markets.
