- This research discuss about the strategy carried out by the Thai government in tourism sector within the framework of the IMT – GT cooperation. IMT – GT is a sub-regional cooperation between Indonesia- Malaysia- Thailand as a collaborative building block to provide a progressive subregion dan ASEAN integration. The concepts that applied in this research is Growth Triangle by Min Tang & Myo Thant and tourism strategy by Richard Sharpley & David J. Telfer. This concept to explain the sub-regional IMT – GT cooperation and to know about Thailand’s tourism strategy that can be influence the subregion collaboration and implementation project of working group tourism IMT – GT. Result of Thailand’s tourism strategy, is the policies that support tourism development, developing tourism infrastructure and tourism marketing is the key of tourism, such as organizing travel socialization and domestic marketing.
