- Awareness of building the character of students through formal education should be followed up with continuous and systematic programs. Because of the education character includes everything, such as introducing the cognitive value, the appreciation of affective value, until practicing the value in reality. The Intact and comprehensive education character is expected to be able to form students into a smart and good person, which in turn is able to give contribution to the society and nation. The development and changing of curriculum made by the government in order to reach the students / generation of the nation that not only put forward the intelligence but also to get the ulul albab character through Dhikr, thinking and charity. At the same time, through the boarding school system is considered as right solution to be able doing the formation of Ulul Albab character. The formation of Ulul Albab character through the boarding school system in addition to prioritizes understanding, skills, and education character as moral values, it also prioritizes the faith education, behaviour and worship. So, it is expected that each learning provides values on the students’ attitude that impact on good character. The main problem discussed include: What Islamic values are developed, how the concept of formation of ulul albab character through the boarding school system with the vision and mission, curriculum, student activities and educators, and what are the obstacles in the implementation of it. In this study, researchers used data collection techniques in the form of documentation, direct observation and interviews focused on concepts and activities in the formation Ulul Albab characters of students. The results of data obtained shows that the formation of Ulul Albab character through the boarding school system in Nurul Fikri Lembang, produce the values; good faith, Right worship, strong behaviour, Strong Physical, Intellect in Thinking, Fight against the lust, discipline to spend time, Organized in affairs, have business indepence, and beneficial for others. It is done through the concepts of curriculum, dormitory, student activities, and educators.
