- This study aims to determine the influence and feasibility of the Solar fuel mixture with pure jatropha oil on the performance of four-cylinder four-cylinder diesel engine. The fuel mix test was conducted by comparing the performance of four-stroke diesel engine using mixed Solar fuel and pure grease which has gone through degumming process with 0%, JO 10% and JO 20% composition variables. Engine performance testing is performed to determine the ratio of torque, power, fuel consumption and thermal efficiency of each fuel variation. The results show that castor oil which is mixed affects the performance of diesel engines. At the loading of 3000 watts, Solar with 20% jatropha oil mixture (JO 20%) is capable of producing greater torque, the lowest fuel consumption value is in pure Solar (0% JO) and the best thermal efficiency value is also produced by pure Solar ( JO 0%).
