This research is a descriptive qualitative and quantitative research, the subject is grade VII A in Pamekasan 4 228 of 26 students. data collection techniques are either observation, tests and interviews. The results showed that learning by using learning step Van Hiele theory and media interests can turn the wheel of learning so that the students understanding of the good. In addition, the research results obtained are the level of understanding of the concept of SMP Negeri 4 students at Pamekasan, classified in two categories namely very good and good. In the category of very good value with the average student's understanding of 89.51%.
