  • This Study discuss about controlling of sensorless induction motor using Model Reference Adaptive System (MRAS) obsever that will estimated the rotor speed. PID in adaptive model of MRAS optimized using Genetic Algorithm, so that the respon speed of MRAS estimation similar with motor actual speed. Motor controllers used in this study use Field-Oriented Control (FOC), where FOC was combined with PID as a motor speed controller. Paramerter of PID tuned uses the Ziegler-Nichols method and optimization of Genetic Algorithm. The transient response using optimization of Genetic Algorithm can give better transient respon than Ziegler-Nichols Method, It can be seen from the overshoot value, rise time and settling time, even when the motor was given a load, PID which is optimized using GA give a smaller error value than the Ziegler-Nichols method.
