- This research aims to review the effect and eligibility a mixture of Pertamina Dex fuel with jatropha oil on the performance of diesel engine four stroke single cylinder. Mixture fuel tested be conducted by comparing the performance of diesel engine four stroke that uses mixture of Pertamina Dex fuel and pure jatropha oil which have gone through the degumming process with variable compositions JO 0%, JO 10% and JO 20%. Engine performance testing conducted to obtain comparison of torque, power, fuel consumption and thermal efficiency of any fuel variation. The research result show that jatropha oil mixture get effect to the diesel engine performance. On 3000 watts load, Pertamina Dex with mixture of 20% jatropha oil (JO 20%) capable produce greater torque and the lowest fuel consumption value produced by pure Pertamina Dex (JO 0%).
