- This research aims to review diesel engine performance and feasibility the use of Dexlite with a mixture of jatropha oil as fuel diesel engines. Pure jatropha oil used as a mixture of Dexlite to research it was a result of plantations jatropha curcas UMM who has been through the process ovened, pressed, and degumming. Any species of variable fuel that are being tested had a composition of a mixture of jatropha oil different, namely MJ 0%, MJ 10%, and MJ 20%. To all load (1000 Watt, 2000 Watt, 3000 Watt) the result showed that the value of torque from fuel Dexlite MJ 10% having the value of the torque largest in the low load, while in the case of the high load fuel pure Dexlite having the value of the torque most greater than Dexlite who wears a mixture of jatropha oil. Effective power these three types of fuel having the same value, the lowest fuel consumption owned Dexlite MJ 20%. This research result indicates that jatropha oil which in Dexlite affecting the performances of a diesel engine and Dexlite MJ 20% feasible for use as fuel diesel engines.
