  • Hydrocarbon-based Micro-power generator is micro scale electricity generator as the replacement of conventional battery. A component of this generator is mesoscale – combustor functioned as combustor for resulting heat. Small dimension of mesoscale – combustor made flame difficult to be stabilized. The reasons are the short residence time and cooling by the wall. In stabilizing flame inside tube mesoscale – combustor, a flame holder is inserted. The function of flame holder is developed heat recirculation and to prolong the residence time. This research inquired the influence of stainless steel flame holder formed in holes perforated plate and lines perforated plate toward flame characteristics in mesoscale – combustor. The lines flame holder is able to increase heat recirculation that flammability limit is wider than holes. The flame succeeds to be stabilized on flame holder lines in equivalent ratio of Φ 0,83 – 1.76 and U 17,01 – 72,93 cm/s speed, while on flame holder holes it is stabilized in Φ 0,91 – 1,71 equivalent ratio and U 24,94 – 54,95 cm/s speed. The increment in Φ on U constant will shrink the flame, Φ=1,55. Flame diameter in lines is bigger than in holes. Furthermore, the more U on Φ constant the bigger flame and U 52,67 cm/s in lines makes flame dominantly blue. It proves that heat recirculation in lines is better. Turbulence on outlet combustor holes flame holder is caused by micro sudden enlargement that leads to heat loss in the flame area because heat is absorbed by turbulent flow. In combustor lines flame holder, reactant contact surface with flame holder is wider that it increases heat recirculation in inlet combustor.
