  • This study was conducted to determine the relationship between the perception of the work environment to job stress serviceman. For employees working in the work environment has a high workload and the risk of work accidents, it is necessary prudence and concentration at work. This will impact on employee stress. One of the causes of stress among employees, particularly the field of heavy equipment is a work environment where employees are working. High or low job stress experienced by employees actually lies in how the employees perceive their work environment. If employees perceive the negative work environment will be high job stress, and than if employees perceive their work environment in a positive, work stress experienced by employees will be low. This research is a quantitative correlation using The Perception Work Environment Scale and Job Stress which were analyzed using product moment correlation. The number of subjects were 79 serviceman. The results showed a negative and significant correlation between the Perception of Work Environment and Job Stress (r = -0.291, p = 0.009) and the effective contribution of perceptions of the work environment to the Job Stres of 8%.
