- This research is a research that develops a thematic learning media that is used for grade IV Elementary School which are named the Sumedang (Energy Sources and Their Uses) Maket Media. This media is in the form of maket (artificial form) which can be used for thematic learning theme Always Save Energy Subtopic Benefits of Energy. The product trial was conducted at SDN Junrejo 1 Batu City. This study aims to (1) describe the development of Maket Sumedang learning media (2) to describe the effectiveness of the Maket Sumedang learning media. This study uses R&D method (Research and Development) with ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). As a source of data, selected grade IVB SDN Junrejo 1 Batu City, Malang academic year 2018/2019 27 students. This research was conducted in the second semester to be exact on January 4-7, 2019 at SDN Junrejo 1 Batu City. The data obtained will then be processed into two types, namely quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data is to determine the effectiveness and validity of the media, while qualitative data to infer the data obtained. The results showed that through the results of evaluations conducted over three days with three different evaluation questions according to media content it was stated that Sumedang maket media was effective, as evidenced by the acquisition of the average value of the students in the trial class of 82.68. Through the results of this study, sumedang learning media is recommended to be used as a reference in the teaching and learning process in the hope of supporting the success of learning.
