  • In one airport terminal Juanda there are many load electricity having the character of inductive resulting in power factor of being inferior and occuring a decrease in voltage in the vicinity of the loads. Because of the very long of transmission line it can cause a voltage drop on the channel toward to load. The Optimal Capacitor Placement has a function to determine which bus that has a low power factor and voltage drop by placing a capacitor on the bus that has those problems. The bank capacitor has a function to improve the power factor and reduce the voltage drop on the channel. From ETAP 12.6 simulation results before the capacitor is placed the power factor on the central bus is 0,78 and the load bus has the lowest factor value 0,75. The voltage drop has occured in load busses with marginal categories have value in the average of 2,89% on bus 13,55,66 and 68. After the installing procces of capacitor the power factor on central bus is 0,95 and the load bus has the highest power factor of 0,99. The voltage drop after the capacitors installation on the critical load bus decline to 2,27% and on the buses with marginal category decline to the average value of 2,24%
