  • Coffee is the product of plantation commodity that produces coffee pulp which is almost the same size as the coffee bean itself. One of the efforts that can be done is the processing of coffe pulp waste as compost with vermicomposting method. This research was conducted to determine the effect of earthworm types and length of composting on decomposition process of coffee pulp waste that view in physical parameters (color, odor and texture) and C/N ratio. This research was conducted by means of True Experimental Research and using simple random sampling techniques. The research design used completely randomized design (CRD) with Factorial Design that consisting of two factors. This research was conducted with 16 treatments and each treatment was repeated twice. Technique of data analysis used Two Way Anova with significance level of 5%. The results of the study showed that the usage of different types of earthworms did not have a significantly different effect on the C/N ratio indicated by Sig.0,05, but in length of composting gave a significantly different effect on the C/N ratio indicated by Sig<0,05. The effect of interaction between types of earthworms and composting time did not show differences significance in the results of the decomposition process indicated by Sig>0,05. The results of this study can be used as learning resources at X grade students of Senior High School on Environmental Pollution material.
