Daftar Isi:
- Lead heavy metal (Pb) was heavy metals sourced from industrial waste and household waste. Lead heavy metal (Pb) has an easy nature to bind organic matter and settle on the bottom of the sediment. Lead heavy metal (Pb) those in the water bodies will experience the process of deposition and accumulate in the sediment, then accumulate in the body of marine biota in the waters both through the gills, digestive system, and absorption of skin and through the food chain and eventually will reach humans. This is known as bioaccumulation. One of the marine biotas which can accumulate heavy metals lead (Pb) on its body is Mangrove Crab (Scylla spp). The purpose of this study was the level of heavy metals in sediment and mangrove crabs (Scylla spp), then to determine the bioconcentration factor (BCF) value and to know the differences in the levels of heavy metal lead (Pb) in sediment and mangrove crabs (Scylla spp). This study used a descriptive analytic. Repetition was carried out as many as 6 replications at 4 stations of different locations in sampling. Samples were taken as many as 24 samples for sediment and 24 samples of meat on mangrove crabs (Scylla spp). Data in the form of the heavy metal content of lead (Pb) in sediment and mangrove crabs (Scylla spp). The data analysis technique used is the Independent Sample T-Test and the Calculation of Bioconcentration Factor (BCF). The results showed that there were differences in levels of heavy metals (Pb) contained in sediment and mangrove crabs (Scylla spp) in Mayangan Beach, Probolinggo City. The highest average value of lead heavy metal (Pb) in the sediment showed at station 4, which was 9.25μg/g, while the average value of the lead heavy metal (Pb) in the highest mangrove crab (Scylla spp) was at station 1, which was 7,62 μg/g. While the calculation of lead heavy metal(Pb) bioconcentration factor (BCF) in mangrove sediments and crabs (Scylla spp) was still in the low category of 2,084 located at station 1. The results of this study can be used as a source of learning biology.
