- Poverty is the inability of someone from an economic perspective to fulfill a need that refers to someone who is classified in the class, but actively seeks a certain level of wages. The tool used in this study is multiple regression using panel data. The results of the analysis showed that the population had a significant positive effect on poverty in the district / city of Bakorwil IV in East Java Province with a coefficient of 28 percent, and open unemployment had a significant positive effect on poverty in the District / City of Bakorwil IV East Java Province by 43 percent with a coefficient of determination (R-Squared) by 45 percent.
