  • Traditional Herbal Medicine is a traditional medicine that is still consumed today. Plumbum (Pb) heavy metal contained in herbal medicine is harmful to humans, because this metal is toxic which can cause health problems such as excretion of the liver and kidneys. This study aims to analyze the Pb content in traditional herbal medicine circulating in Malang. The research Method used in this study is Quantitative Descriptive because, it purpose to describe or explain about the comparison of data result of the research in which the sample obtained randomly. The population in this study is the traditional medicine in Malang. The result of this study can be developed and the researcher expect that it can be used as learning media in the form of poster by connecting the result of this study on the material of food safety for discussion of chemical mateials in food and matters regarding food safety. The result of this study provide that the level of plumbum (Pb) in traditional herbal medicine in Malang have levels of 0.0762 mg/L to 0.1825 mg/L, it is shows at below the treshold values set by the Ditjen of POM and the national standardized institution in 2009. The result of this study can be useful as the learning source of Biology and developing to be a poster as learning media.
