  • The increasing of varied and unstable environmental temperatures that occur in Indonesia have an impact on uncertain weather changes and imbalance the hydrological cycle so do in excessive volume of water and causing floods and flash floods. To reduce the impact of floods and flash floods, it is necessary to have a system capable of providing information and warning as early as possible to alert floods. One of the most commonly used systems is Flood Warning System (FWS). FWS can be created by several methods. One of the methods that will be used in this research is FWS with SMS basic. Selection of this method is expected to provide more accurate output results than previous FWS methods. The result of measurement data will be sent using GSM module and then will be displayed in the form of SMS display. FWS system that is made is able to provide information of floods directly so that the impacts and losses incurred less.
