  • Vegetables are basically the food of the Indonesian people every day. Vegetables are said to be important because in vegetables contain lots of fiber and iron functions as a human need every day. Leek onion is a type of vegetable that has a long, hollow shape like a pipe, its tip is tapered, its base is solid white. Leek onions are included in the genus Allium which can be cultivated as monoculture plants or intercropping plants. Torongrejo Village and Sumberejo Village, Batu City are centers of leek onion plants because the majority of the population are leek farmers. Leek farming requires costs starting from planting to harvest. The purpose of this study was 1) to find out the cultivation of leek in Torongrejo Village with Sumberejo Village. 2) Comparing the cost structure, income, and farming income in Torongrejo Village and Sumberejo Village. 3) Analyzing differences in the efficiency level of leek farming in Torongrejo Village and Sumberejo Village. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive by analyzing differences statistically. The results of this study are 1) Comparison of the average cost of leek production is Rp. 40.295.824,56/ha in Torongrejo Village, while for Desa Sumberejo, an average of Rp. 51.774.070,23/ha seems to be significantly different. 2) The average ratio of receipts received by Torongrejo Village is Rp. 76.292.857/ha while for Sumberejo Village Rp. 90.557.143/ha. The average ratio of the income level of farmers in Torongrejo Village is Rp. 35.997.033/ha while for Sumberejo Village Rp. 38.783.073/ha. 3) The average efficiency level of onion in Torongrejo Village is Rp 1,92 and Sumberejo Village is 1,90 that both villages are worth developing.
