- Climate change is affecting the elements of human life with increasingly difficult access to clean water, food production, health and environmental degradation. Limiting the improvement of the common good in the agricultural sector is the environmental burden that is always present in any economic activity. EKC explains the relationship between environmental quality and income, with rising incomes and environmental degradation. As information material for the development of further research, especially for finding and analyzing alternative models of quality of life and economic relations of greater importance for the development of science, especially of agriculture. The development of the Environmental Environmental Quality Index (IKLH) in Kalimantan is quite good, with an average of 66.3 percent, which is dynamic in line with the distribution of IKLH values from each province. In the agriculture sector, the regional gross domestic product (GDP) development in Kalimantan saw a 93.59 percent growth in the plantations business, while negative growth was recorded in the livestock and fisheries sub-sectors. The results of the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) show that there is a role to play between the degree of economic growth and environmental degradation. The increasing GDP of the agricultural sector led to a decline in the Environmental Quality Index (IKLH).
