- Fish rainbow boesemani ( melanotaenia boesmani ) is ornamental fish freshwater economically valuable important that is fish endemic of the papua island . Fish rainbow is one of the preferred by people, because it has morphology the body and pattern of coloration that is distinctive and unique having an elongated flattened body and color in body parts toward the head blue bright and toward the tail bright orange. Fish rainbow boesmani male more interested in people, because it has a variation of color interesting. Maskulinisasi is one of the methods by to produce the production of a male fish . One of natural materials that can be used in the methods of maskulinisasi for producing a male fish that is using propolis honeybees . This study was conducted in the laboratory the cultivation of thick in the waters devisi reproduction fish , the faculty of fisheries and of marine science , brawijaya university miserable and to be pitied the province of east java in december 2017- january on a deal valid 2018 . Methods used is experiment use RAL with using 4 special treatment, soaking 10 hours , 12 hours , 14 hours , 16 hours with doses 1ppm and 1 treatment control . Data that obtained will use ANOVA analysis and will continue undergone a BNT. Paramater the main upon the of this study is the percentage of the level of the male organs and the survival rate at the current level ( SR ) , There are obvious reasons from the supporting parameter carried out to examine growth rate at the current level ( GR ) and parameter of quality of water . Results of research that give extract propolis honeybees.Good affect on the percentage male in fish larvae rainbow boesemani.Rerata to the percentage male In treatment a ( 10 hours is 45,45 %, treatment b ( 12 hours is 62,35 %, treatment c ( 14 hours is 47,78 %, treatment and 16 hours is 39,49 %, and in treatment control of 11.82 %. Percentage male highest is in treatment b ( 12 hours ) is as much as 62,35 %.To survival rate ( sr ) fish larvae rainbow boesemani with rerata in treatment a ( 10 hours is 71,11 %, treatment b ( 12 hours ) 58,89 %, treatment c ( 14 hours is 48,89 %, treatment and 16 hours is 42,22 % and perlakakuan control is 90 %. To growth rate ( gr in treatment a ( 10 hours is 0,0211g, treatment b ( 12 hours is 0,0209g, treatment c ( 14 hours is 0,0210g, and treatment and 16 hours is 0,0210g, and treatment control is 0,0198g. While as the water quality covering temperature in the morning ranged from 22,6 -- 24,8 while for during the day ranged from 24,1 - 27.7. While value do to the morning ranged from 5,38 - 8,43 ppm and by day ranged from 5.12 - 7 , 67 ppm , while for ph in the morning range 6.5 - 7.8 and by day ranged from 6.1 a total of 7.3 . Conclusion to research maskulinisasi fish rainbow boesemani use extract propolis honeybees to the time soaking distinct larval produce influence very real to the productions a male fish when do soaking optimally .
