  • The designer tool to assist and facilitate the workers needed a suitable method that aims to evaluate and analyse the working attitude is dangerous. A suitable method method OWAS (Ovako Working Posture Analysis System). OWAS is a method to analyze and evaluate work attitude which can lead to musculoskeletal injuries. Research methodology aims to provide systematic research framework so as to provide the conformity between research objectives with the characteristics of the existing problems. Analysis of measurement results performed is the risk of injury, the counting of the OWAS. Research methodology steps used in this research is early identification, study literature, field studies, measurement work posture, Anthropometry data measure, repair facilities work, conclusions and suggestions. The results showed that the level of risk that arise using the OWAS method has the value obtained is category 4. This means that with a category value 4 then the advice that can be given is the repair needs to be done now too. Repairs done quickly to further enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the work of the employees of PT. Malang Indah. Employee position posture analysis raised paving material using the OWAS method has the value obtained is category 3. Category value 3 and the advice that can be given is the repair needs to be done as quickly or as soon as possible. This can mean that the necessary steps immediately to the company to improve the work system employees. The results of the calculation of the value of the OWAS on worker 1 worth 4 (repair needs to be done now too), worker 2 (the repair needs to be done as quickly or as soon as possible). Category value 3 and the advice that can be given is the repair needs to be done as quickly or as soon as possible. Of all the work that has a high level of risk will then be given a repair proposal form and posture improvement design makes the design of the cart, and make standard operating procedure will further ease in doing the work, then proved the value of OWAS to 1 (no need for repair). Then the proposed repairs are acceptable and can be applied at the company. The proposed suggestions to companies in order to improve occupational health and safety the design of sand cart operator attempted can reduce complaints of injuries on the operator.
