- The interest in studying PPKn is an important thing to examine.The research was carried out in 7 Public high schools Malang. This study aims to determine; (1) the implementation of learning civic education; (2) the factors of cause the low interest in learning civic education; (3)a solution to overcome the problem of interest in learning civic education at 7 Public high schools Malang. This researsh use desciptive qualitative aproach. Researchers went directly to the field to dig up information releated to the research title. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documentation. As for the informants in this study were principals, deputi secretarial curiculum, chitizenship education teachers and 7 Public high schools Malang. The result of research in the field can be concluded by research that the causes of the low interest in learning civic education in public high school Malang are; (1) the implementation of learning too monotonous in the classroom; (2) lack of variety of methods applied by teachers in learning civic education; (3) the number of assigments without explanation the details. The teacher must enrich the learning method so as to be able to create a comfortable learning atmosphere in the classroom so that the learning interest of student citizenship education can increase.
