- ABSTRACT Train is one of public transportations which connecting one region to another, especially in Kediri City. This transportation is supported by the existence of railway station infrastructure. A train is a form of transport consisting of a series of connected vehicles that generally runs along a rail track to transport cargo or passengers. Hence, the purpose of the study was (1) to examine the waiting room performance of railway station in Kediri City and (2) to analyze how the effect of supporting facilities on the waiting room service. This is an empirical study using existing data and simulation method. The results of the study showed that, based on the evaluation, the waiting room service has 0.23 m2/person of the total of 95.04 m2 and the platform waiting room has 0.32 m2/person of the total of 89.1/m2. Moreover, the influence of supporting facilities towards the waiting room service is Ticket Printing Machine with the spacious space of 19.26 m2 (12.6%) and Gate Control System with the spacious space of 38.34 m2 (25.1%) from the general width of 152.64 m2.
