- Since clean water is a basic need for human, its handling and fulfilment are of great importance to consider. An evaluation of a community’s need for clean water is crucial to gain an optimum and efficient fulfilment. This study aimed to plan the water transmission and distribution pipeline networks and to calculate the demand for water in Arjosari sub-district for anticipating the lack of access to clean water. For the transmission network, the water from Tukul reservoir will be transmitted to the IPA (Water Purification Installation). Meanwhile, for the distribution network, the water from IPA will be distributed to the community. The researcher used the WaterNet software to analyse the water flow in the pipelines and to identify the pressure in each pipe. The planning system showed that in the transmission network, the diameter of the pipe was 16 cm; while in the distribution network, the diameters of the pipes were 9 cm, 7,6 cm, 6 cm and 4,8 cm. Moreover, the calculation showed that the community’s need for clean water was 5,88 litre/second. The highest relative energy is 37.6 m and the lowest relative energy is 10.12 m.
