- Violence is a deviant treatment that causes injury and hurts others. Form of action taken against other parties, whether carried out by individual or more than one who can cause suffering to others. Whereas domestic violence against wives in all forms of actions carried out by husbands which is in physical, psychological, sexual and economic harm. Prevention of acts of violence committed by the Community of Pondok Sinau in Mojosari Village by providing skills and counseling to the people of Mojosari Village to provide understanding to the community that domestic violence acts in children resulting in child abuse in underage children and the deep suffering experienced by wives as victims of domestic violence. This research used qualitative descriptive type method with purposive technique. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The theoretical basis used by researcher was theory of violence, Javanese patriarkhi culture and family theory. Based on the research conducted, the first prevention of Community-based Domestic Violence in Mojosari Village, Malang Regency has educative nuance. Activities provided by the Pondok Sinau community include seminars, reading parks, and counseling. The next prevention of domestic violence is community empowerment, this is used to improve the economy of the community, this activity is in the form of skills training, cultivation of plants and vegetables, and the existence of regular sports activities for the elderly. And build cooperation with various parties related to domestic violence. Pondok Sinau community collaboration includes P2TP2A, PP and PA Unit, Sakti Peksos. While the background of the establishment of the Pondok Sinau community was low awareness of the importance of (formal) education which has an impact on the low quality of life - both socially, economically and healthily, low level of empowerment and social independence, lack of infrastructure and superstructure that support community-based empowerment processed problem solving and sustainability, and the limited concern for traditional elite group in the process of formulating strategic issues in development in the village area and the lack of community social participation in the process of formulating, implementing and evaluating development in the village area.
