- In improving community preparedness to face flood disasters, the government has an important role in making policies on disaster risk reduction. Government preparedness is crucial, especially in conditions of very limited public awareness and preparedness. Therefore, the knowledge and skills that the community has are also very important to help the community in forming and planning actions that need to be done when a flood disaster comes. Preparedness in dealing with effective disasters requires the collaboration of the role of government and society in order to implement disaster response programs, especially in the village of Labuan Tereng, Lembar Subdistrict, West Lombok Regency. Based on the research raised in this study, the type of research used is descriptive research. As for the object of research is the regional level government, namely BPBD and Labuan Tereng Village Community. The purpose of this study is to be able to provide an explanation of how collaboration forms the role of government and society in preparedness in facing floods that occur in the West Lombok Regency Sheet. In this study the selection of informants / research subjects was determined using Purposive Sample technique. While data collection techniques in research using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of the study show the policy of the West Lombok Regency government regarding the Regent's Regulation No. 51 of 2011 concerning the Details of the Tasks, Functions and Work Procedures of the West Lombok District Disaster Management Agency. The form of activities resulting from the policy is that the government cooperates with the community to improve preparedness in the face of disasters. The forms of collaboration carried out by the government and the community in Labuan Tereng Village, Lembar District, West Lombok Regency, namely the government formed a forum called the Disaster Risk Reduction Forum, the government inaugurated the Disaster Resilient Village for Labuan Tereng Village, the government formed the Rapid Reaction Team (TRC), bhakti work after banjir bandang disaster, DRR Month Warning (Disaster Risk Reduction) every year and procurement of Community Based Disaster Preparedness Program (SIBAT).
