- Agriculture is an activity that utilizes biological resources. Agriculture can produce food, industrial raw materials and to manage the environment. The purpose of this study is to 1) To describe the perceptions and interests of the Cikidang village youth in Bantarujeg District, Majalengka District, to work as farmers. 2) To know the relationship of perceptions and interests of Cikidang Village, Bantarujeg District, Majalengka District to work as farmers. The location of the study was carried out in the Cikidang Village, Bantarujeg District, Majalengka Regency using the simple random sampling method. The type of data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Analysis of the data in this study using the Likert scale to determine the perceptions and interests of the youth towards work as farmers, Rank Spearman analysis knows the relationship of perceptions and interests of work as farmers. The results of the study showed that the perception of the youth towards employment as a negative farmer was especially in the indicators of comfort in work and business risk. On the income indicator, working as a farmer forms a positive perception. Positive and negative perceptions are caused by the views of youth about an object or experience in themselves. The relationship of perceptions of business risk with interest in agricultural cultivation (0.550) and interest in marketing business (0.643) has a strong correlation, interest in business production facilities (0.483) has a weak correlation. The relationship between the perception of comfort in working with the interest in cultivating agricultural crops (0.586), the interest in the business of production facilities (0.515) and the interest in marketing business (0.514) have a strong correlation. The relationship of perceptions of farmers' income with interest in production facilities (0.603) and marketing business interest (0.624) has a strong correlation, in the interest of agricultural cultivation (0.461) has a weak correlation
