- The industrial sector is believed to be a sector that can lead other sectors in an economy towards progress. In East Java Province the industrial sector gives contribution to employment. The factors that influence the employment of the industrial sector are investment, production costs and minimum wages. The purpose of this study is to know the development of investment, production value, minimum wages and labor absorption of the industrial sector in East Java Province. And to analyze the effect of variable investment, production value and minimum wage on employment in the industrial sector in East Java Province. The data which is used is secondary data in the form of time series data, between 1997-2016. This data is obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. The analysis technique which is used is multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The test result shows that simultaneously investment, production value and minimum wage affect the employment of the industrial sector in East Java. Based on the results of regression analysis obtained R-square value of 0.9538 which shows that the influence of investment, production value and minimum wage on employment in the industrial sector in East Java is 95.38% while 4.62% is influenced by other variables outside the model. While the development of labor, investment, production value and minimum wages each year fluctuate.
