  • Drinking water is a basic component of human life. The quality and quantity of drinking water should fulfill the requirement and standard (Permenkes RI No. 492 / Menkes / Per / IV / 2010), the content of heavy metal in drinking water should not beat the level, including lead (Pb). The research aimed to analyze heavy metal content (lead/Pb) in drinking water at Malang City. This research was conducted in Environmental Laboratory of Water Service Company Tirta 1 Malang (Water quality). The type of this research was descriptive quantitative, and cross sectional research design. Sample used in this research were six tabs tester of drinking water. The data gained was analyzed quantitatively with Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) method. The results showed that the six tabs sample of drinking water have heavy metal content (lead/Pb) which were under the threshold value determined by the Ministry of Health, the value mentioned is 0.01 mg / l. The total of lead value (Pb) in drinking water is the tap A = 0 mg / l, Tap B = 0 mg / l, Tap C = 0 mg / l, Tap D = 0 mg / l Tap E = 0 mg / l , Tap F = 0 mg / l. This research results of is useful to be used as poster learning media.
