  • Modern retail growth is quite significant in the city of Malang, giving rise to a variety of new department stores with the same label as Ramayana located in Dinoyo City Mall, which previously had similar department stores on the Diponegoro Street. This purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mood and impulsive buying behavior in adolescents as consumers in department stores. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique with the number of subject asmany as 120 respondents. Mood measurement, reasearcher used Brief Mood Introspection Scale (BMIS) scale compiled by John D. Mayer (2018). While for measurement on impulsive buying behavior using a questionnaire compiled based on impulsive buying theory by Verplanken and Herabadi (2001).. For the correlation test shows the result of a number of 0,310**, which means the level of correlation or the relationship of mood with impulsive buying behavior is quite significant. Andfrom the number of correlation coefficient values, it can be concluded that the direction of the relationship between mood and impulsive buying behavior is in the same direction, it means that the higher the mood, the higher the impulsive buying behavior.
