- Javanese society is always colored by symbolic elements that are poured in the form of traditional ceremonies, that is marriage. One of them is Malangan Keprabon in Malang. However, most of them use other traditional cloth such as from Jogjakarta, Solo, even International. Even though, there are still some of them who use traditional cloth Malangan Keprabon, either completely or only part of the accessories only. This is the background why the researcher wants to research the meaning of the symbol and message in the traditional wedding dress Malangan Keprabon. The purpose of this research is to know the meaning of the symbol and message in the traditional cloth of Malang Keprabon. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive type and basic of phenomenology research. Subject of this research are 4 person and 2 informant. Data analysis techniques using Interactive models from Miles and Huberman (Collection, Reduction, Data Presentation, and Conclusions) with data validity test using Source Triangulation. The results of this research are Subjects 1,2,3 and 4 and the informant revealed that the meaning are contained in the traditional cloth is that the accessories used by the Subject is a jewelry to show the social status of a person in an environment. There is also a moral message in this traditional cloth, in order to every marriage can be eternal, it is necessary to trust each other and be open to each other.
