  • Mentigi Plants ( V. varingiaefolium ( Bl.) Miq) grew up around the crater of the mountain. Strong roots of trees can withstand erosion rate Mentigi on the mountain cliffs. Highlands protected crop plant population Mentigi existence for less. Thus Mentigi crop development needs to be done to prevent extinction. Alternative propagation was implemented was through culture in vitro using Mentigi seed explants. This study aimed to study the effect of growth regulators IBA and TDZ on shoot induction Mentigi seed ( V.varingiaefolium ( Bl.) Miq). This research use of growth regulators IBA and TDZ. The study was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors namely the use of plant growth regulators IBA (1 ppm, 2 ppm and 3 ppm) and TDZ (0,025, 0,050 and 0,075). The data were analyzed using ANOVA and Duncan 5% further test. Based on the results of analysis of variance and TDZ IBA treatment showed significant effect on seed broke interaction aged 3 hst and explants sprout at age 6 HST. Occurred a real influence on the concentration of 2 ppm IBA to sprout explants at age 39 HST. The use of high concentrations of TDZ resulted in inhibition of explants sprout.
