PENGARUH LATIHAN BODYWEIGHT TERHADAP PENURUNAN LINGKAR PERUT PADA IBU DHARMA WANITA DI KABUPATEN SAMPANG

- Background: The decrease of physical activity obviously has impacts on body, one of them is the excessive body weight or overweight. Routinely physical activity influence the body shape. Overweight is a condition described an accumulation of fat, on abdominal or central body, causing bloated abdomen, so that influence the waist line size. The increase of overweight incidence related to metabolic syndroms’ pathogenesis. Etiological factors of the waist line size’ increase are environment and genetic. Exercise is one of the most important component in managing body weight and improving health. Physical bodyweight exercise is an exercise program combining main exercise and the aerobic one. Methods: The study using Pre-Experimental One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test Design. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of bodyweight exercise on the decrease of the waist line. Respondents of this study were the women of Dharma Wanita Kantor Diskumnaker Kabupaten Sampang. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Results: The waist line’s difference of amount average before and after intervention was 3,55 on 30 respondents. The count of the effect of bodyweight exercise on the decrease of waist line size using Paired T-Test, showed p value 0,000 < 0,005. T count was 30,009 > T table 2,045. The result showed that H1 is accepted, and H0 is refused. Conclusion: There is an effect of bodyweight exercise on the decrease of waist line size on the Dharma Wanita in Kabupaten Sampang.
