  • During this time, the handling of sawmill industry waste was carried out by stacking, discarding, and burning. Whereas by burning the sawmill industry waste will have a negative impact on the environment. Therefore we need something that has added value and of course there is another mixture, by using wood powder to become biopelet. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of adhesive to the duration of combustion, to know the drying temperature for the duration of combustion, to know the optimal combination of the addition of adhesive and drying temperature. This research method aims to determine the moisture content, ash content, and the effect of drying temperature for the duration of combustion of wood powder pellets ranging from raw material preparation, sawing, sieving, mixing, molding, drying, and analysis stages. While the variation of starch adhesive is done differently starting from 10% starch adhesive, 15% starch adhesive, 20% starch adhesive and variations in the effect of drying temperature ranging from 90oC, 100oC, 110oC.The results of this study indicate that the value of water content and ash content that has a perfect combustion is 10% adhered to a drying temperature of 90oC obtaining a moisture content of 7.910% and a ash content of 1.728% while a good burning time of drying is 110oC with adhesive 10% with a time of 02:54.3. So it can be concluded that the drying temperature has an effect on the length of the combustion time, the higher the drying temperature, the faster the combustion time.
