- This thesis aimed to evaluate the condition of the drainage channel of the Cengger Ayam – Kalpataru road in Lowokwaru Sub-district – Malang city and to figure out of functionality of the channel in reducting puddles in the area and the recent condition of the drainage system. The rain frequency was analysed through to the Type-III Log Person distribution method. The rain intensity was calculated through the Mononobe equation, while the periodic runoff was calculated through the rational method. Meanwhile, the drainage capacity was calculated through the manning equalition, and then the capacity of the drainage channel in containing the runoff discharge was evaluated. After identifying the malfunctioning channels, the researcher made a plan for widening or deepening the channel.
