- Analysis of United States Policy on Withdrawal from Paris Agreement is interesting since Donald Trump has a different background to United States former president Barack Obama and different perspective regarding climate change issue, especially Paris Agreement. Intentions of the analysis is to analyzited United States position in Paris Agreement under Donald Trump’s administrations and applying Poliheuristic theory to explain Trump’s two steps on making his decission. First step, Trump eliminate one of three alternatives wich is stay in Paris Agreement, secon Stay in Paris Agreement but with renegotiation, Third withdraw from Paris Agreement. At the first step Trump eliminate the alternatives use his cognitive aspecs. In a second step Rational Choice is used by Trump to calculate the cost and benefits from each alternaties and leaving one alternatives as a final decission, which is withdraw from Paris Agreement. The result of this research is United States Policy to withdraw rom Paris Agreement is influenced by Trump’s perspectives about the agreement and his beliefs on his motivations to Make America Great Again became a reference to put United Statesnational interest in a first place.
