- This research aimed to describe (1) application of learning model jigsaw with Missouri mathematics project method, (2) reasoning ability of students in mathematical learning by applying jigsaw learning models with missouri mathematics project method (MMP), (3) communication ability of students in mathematical learning by applying jigsaw learning models with missouri mathematics project method (MMP). This research uses quantitative and qualitative approach that is descriptive. The object of this research is the application of Jigsaw learning model with Missouri Mathematics Project method. Data sources are students of class VII A SMP Taman Harapan Malang and researchers. Data was taken through observation to know teacher activity and student activity, writing test work to know students' reasoning ability and mathematical communication. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model with the Missouri Mathematics Project method has been implemented well and in accordance with the steps that have been designed, (2) the students' reasoning ability reaches good mastery level, with indicators suggesting the allegations in very good category , the indicators provide reasons or evidence against some of the solutions included in the category of less good, the indicators do manipulation, check the validity of the argument and make the generalization of the category included in the good category (3) students' mathematical communication skills have also reached a good level of mastery, all indicators that examine the validity of arguments, understand, interpret, and evaluate mathematical ideas in writing, using terms, notations and mathematical structures to present written mathematical ideas. It can be concluded that the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model with the Missouri Mathematics Project method has reached the average with a good category for each variable.
