- A good irrigation management should be able to rationally and water properly, so that all plants can receive water according to their needs. The standard area of irrigation area (IA) of Ngasinan located in Trenggalek Regency is 3318,7 ha with cropping pattern wheat - wheat - palawija (maize). Water source from IA of Ngasinan is sourced from Ngasinan DAM that stem the Kesser River. From the calculation of the water requirement of the existing planting pattern to the reliability of the debit occurs a water surplus of 9.889 l/sec. At the time the water is allocated to the entire plant area and compared to the reliability of the existing debit of water deficit in the period October III amounted to 0.599 m3/sec. Based on the mainstay discharge in Ngasinan DAM the most optimal planting pattern is the planting pattern that remains to plant wheat and palawija throughout the year with the planting period that began in January I. It can be concluded the potential of existing water sources abundant and it is necessary to advise the technical buildings to accommodate water resources which exists.
