- Thematic learning is a learning that combines several subjects material to understand a concept in a theme. The purpose of this action is to provide a meaningful experience to the students. The limitations of teaching time the teachers experience before the Mid Semester Assessment are very Impactful to students. Students' learning ability and level of students understanding of the material both in the knowledge area, skills, and attitudes. With the creative, innovative, and challenging media will make the students more interested to follow the learning and facilitate the teacher to deliver the material, even when the time to do learning activities is very limited. This research aimed to develop the Snakes and Ladder Adventure board for thematic learning and to determine the attractiveness of media for the fifth-grader at the primary school. The type of this research is a development research using the ADDIE model. In the ADDIE model there are 5 stages of development including 1) Analyze, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation and 5) Evaluation. The subject of this research was the students from class V B and V C Primary Public School Lowokwaru 2 Malang with the number of 33 students and 32 students. The trials implementation was done in each class with the different period, which conducted on July 23th and July 26th, 2018. Data collection methods used in this research development are the observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation used are data qualitative descriptive analysis techniques and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this development research indicated that the Snakes and Ladder adventure board media for the fifth-grader at Primary School in thematic education is feasible, valid, and interesting to be applicated in the learning process. Percentage of media eligibility obtained 86% (Good), the material feasibility obtained 95% (Very Good) and learning feasibility obtained 93.75% (Very Good). The percentage of the attractiveness of the results from the questionnaire responses by the students in class V B and V C each gained 97.5% and 97.03%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Snakes and LAdder adventure board media is valid, feasible and interesting to be used as a learning media for the fifth-grader at Primary School.
