- This study aims to develop thematic learning media for grade 3 elementary schools that apply scientific approach which is expected to be able to make thematic learning activities that are usually still teacher-centered to be student-centered, increase student activity, students are more enthusiastic in learning and learning and increase student morale. This research is a research type of research and development or Research and Development (R & D) using the ADDIE model, namely (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The subjects studied were Grade 3 students of SDN Tulusrejo 2 Malang in the 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 12 students. The implementation of this research was carried out in July 2018. Data was collected by observing, unstructured interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the acquisition of scores from the aspect of assessment by media experts 92% with the category "Eligible" means that the media can be used as a learning medium, then results from 85% material experts with a decent category. Whereas from the results of the student questionnaire responses from 12 students got a score of 97.5% which stated that the learning media was interesting, useful and feasible to use. The results of this study, the media can be used for alternative learning media in thematic learning by using a scientific approach that can change the system or method of thematic learning to be student-centered, no longer centered on the teacher, so that learning becomes more effective, meaningful, students are not easily bored and can increase the spirit of learning in students.
