- The number of unemployment is relatively high and tends to increase every year in Indonesia. Finally, the government sets the foreign work market through the Indonesian Workers (TKI)Placement Program abroad.However, choosing to work as Indonesian Workers/Female Workers has a high risk. The problems that the researcherwill review here are (1) How does the social interaction impact of female workers families on their families in Indonesian workers (TKI) Tanggulturus Village, Besuki Sub-district, Tulungagung Regency?(2) What are the factors that cause most of the community in Tanggulturus Village, Besuki Sub-district, Tulungagung Regency become Female Workers (TKW)? The study used qualitative approach with descriptive method. The subjects in this study were troubled families of Female Workers (TKW), Headman of Tanggulturus, Head of Hamlets, and the community.The sampling technique used was Purposive sampling with Snow technique. While the techniques used in collecting the data were interview, observation, and documentation. The result of this study showed that the factors that influence wives to choose to work as Female Workers (TKW) abroadwere; first, the economic factor and age; second, the husband's income felt less; third, tradition; fourth, the lack of job and education;and fifth, there is the desire to be independent and tohave a good salary.There also impacts social interaction of the wives working abroad for their family, namely the number of divorce, the infidelity, the deviation of behavior done by the child and husband, no positive communication in the family, and a role exchange.
