  • Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder. Disorders are characterized by positive symptoms, chaotic disorders, delusions, hallucinations, cognitive impairments, and, negative symptoms of decreased interest and encouragement, reduced urge to speak, and disruption of social relations. It appears that the symptoms of schizophrenia for people with schizophrenia (ODS) experience dysfunction. Social dysfunction that addresses serious handling. The family is the closest unit and the main nurse for people who die from schizophrenia. If the family does not reach the system, the disturbance that occurs in one family will affect other family members. This study aimed to know the family support People with Schizophrenia in Bantur Village, Malang Regency. This research was a qualitative descriptive with purposive technique. Data collection techniques, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis were carried out by data, data reduction, data presentation, and deduction of conclusions. Data validity technique used internal validity test (credibility), namely triangulation. The results of this study explained that most families in Bantur Village conducted social activities for people with schizophrenia such as instrumental, information, emotional, reward, and groups. Social support carried out by various instrumental and informational parties. Bantur Health Center helped us provide assistances through mental health programs. Social support in Bantur Village had a positive impact on the development of schizophrenia in terms of health, mentality and social aspects. The impact that people with schizophrenia had on different people, the stressors of people with schizophrenia, and the condition of people with schizophrenia in receiving.
