- Family functioning has an important role in determining of someone’s subjective well-being. Because family is the first scope inside someone’s life, the family is considered to affect someone's well-being. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family functioning and subjective well-being in adolescents which both parents work. Data collection used sampling quota technique. Scale that used is Family Assesment Device (FAD) and subjective wellbeing scale. The number of subjects in this study were 290 subjects from several junior and senior high school in Karawang, West Java. The criteria in this study are adolescents aged 12 to 18 years old, have a father and mother working for an office with a minimum time at 30 hours of week, and they life together with their parents. The result shows that there is very significant positive relationship between family functioning and subjective well-being in in adolescents which both parents work, it is shown with p value of 0.000>0.01 and r = 0.537.
